Edwards Insurance Brokers was once again delighted to act as main sponsors of the URC Golf Day, along with Congregational and Ansvar on Monday 4th September at Bromsgrove Golf Centre.
The game for the Whitehorn Cup is played as an 18-hole Stableford competition and has been an annual event for serving or retired ministers of Free Churches since it began in 1935.
This year, the Whitehorn Cup was won by Matt Partridge, Senior Pastor at Emmanuel Church, Oxford. He is pictured below, receiving the cup from John Whitehorn himself – the grandson of the original Mr Whitehorn.
Meanwhile, the Patrick Figgis Putter was won by our very own David Edwards! This prize is for attenders and supporters of the United Reformed Church.
All guests were treated to a fantastic day including breakfast on arrival, goodie bag, range balls, 18 holes of golf, dinner, presentation and prizes.
We were all extremely proud to support the event again and are already looking forward to the next URC Golf Day on Monday 10th September 2018!
