Charity Golf Day: Family Care Trust

At the picturesque Nailcote Hall in the heart of Warwickshire, Edwards Insurance Brokers once again hosted the Family Care Trust Charity Golf Day on 8th September 2017.

Nine teams of four took on the challenging Cromwell Course, one of the country’s best Par 3 courses and venue of the annual Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship where legendary golfers including Tony Jacklin, Paul Lawrie, Sam Torrance and Ian Woosnam regularly take part. Though the teams weren’t quite at that level, there was still some excellent golf on the day!

The winning team was Utilisave & Medway Care, pictured above.

Most importantly, we raised £5,750 for the Family Care Trust which provide professional care and support services throughout Solihull and the wider West Midlands to enable people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live their lives with dignity, choice and independence.

This money will be well spent on equipment for Newlands Bishop Farm, just one of Family Care Trust’s facilities.  Last year, the money from this golf day went towards a brand new farm building and pig shelter.
